Two roads diverged in a yellow wood...

My heart is full. I am exactly where I should be...

I think back to a year ago when we made the decision to follow where The Father was leading. I was so afraid, but I knew somehow that even though we would be bl*ssed if we stayed in Camarillo, we would be even more bl*ssed if we followed the call. I wasn't sure how it was possible at the time, I had left home before and it was so hard, but for some reason I knew it would be different this time. By His Grace it is different and we are bl*ssed.

To quote Robert Frost: "Two roads diverged in a wood, And I took the road less traveled by and that has made all the difference."

Love

Yesterday I was so blessed! I had been having a very difficult time with one of my classes and ironically enough, their class mascot name is “Love.”

I realized this one day as I was pouring my heart out to my Father, he reminded me that I may need some extra-special “Love” for this special class. But I was still dreading my class yesterday with them…

Anyhow, I was teaching about personality and I really was able to find out a lot about them and it was just a great lesson overall. I had fun and for the first time I am excited for the next class with them!

It can be difficult because every class is different and there is just something about this class, they are so full of personality! Honestly, I think that is why they are so difficult, but I also think that if I look at it the right way, that makes them extra special and if I do my job right, I will be able to teach them just as effectively as all the other classes!

Ch-ch-ch-changes

Since it is the first time I have experienced real seasons, I am blown away by how beautiful Fall can be! The Fall colors are breathtaking here. It is so exciting to see the leaves change so drastically for the first time in my life.

It has been a while since the last post and as you may have guessed, we have been pretty busy!
Last week on Thursday and Friday there was a delegation, fancy word for visitors. We actually took in one of the men from the team and he stayed here in our apartment for two nights. We did our best to accommodate him, even making him one of our favorite breakfast foods, Swedish pancakes, yum!

On Saturday we went to the zoo. It was a little bit sad because they don’t have the same laws that we do in America. But it was interesting to see all the different animals and to be so close to them. There are also not too many workers around, so people go behind the gates to feed and pet the animals, which could be a little dangerous. Although, thank goodness, this is not possible with the lions and bears, that could be extremely dangerous!

In the fall spirit, I decided to do something with my pumpkins. So I got a good recipe for pumpkin bread online and  I  got out the big knife and struggled through cutting open on of our pumpkins, then I boiled some and mashed it and made some great tasting pumpkin bread! Did I mention that I love Fall :)
